Meanings of all abbreviations concerning CBD oil and Cannabis related subjects

In texts, news articles and scientific studies which are related to cannabis or CBD oil you often come across many abbreviations. On this information page the meanings of all these abbreviations are conveniently shown. For more information about the names concerned, you can click on the links in blue ink, which will forward you to extensive information about the subject in question.

CBD, THC oil and mediweed

On both the Cibiday website as on other pages on the internet, you will often see the terms THC oil and CBD oil. Despite the fact both oils come from cannabis, there is a big difference between the two. Both oils are in frequent usage and are derived from the psychoactive or the non-psychoactive cannabis plant. The psychoactive variety contains high percentages of the cannabinoid THC and is also known as weed or marijuana. When this is applied for health promoting purposes (in the Netherlands supplied by doctor's prescription), it is called .... or ...., mediweed or mmj in short.

• CBD oil - Cannabidiol oil

• THC oil- Weed oil (THC stands for tetrahydrocannabinol)

• Mediweed - ... (-edit: text removed)

• MMJ - … (-edit: text removed)
